R009625- Associate Director
Kantar Public, Communications Research
London, 4 Millbank.
Great agency seeks great minds
Innovative, best in show agency seeks bona fide research enthusiast/talented researcher who believes in the power of evidence to create social change. Opportunity for incredible talent development in return for passion and hard work.
We are looking for a talented Associate Director. In essence, we are looking for someone to provide confident running of projects across a range of evaluation studies, and help the Government deliver some of the world’s most ambitious social marketing behaviour change programmes.
Our team conducts a wide range of high-profile evaluations of Government and third sector communications for behaviour change. Our research spans campaigns on physical activity and nutrition; employment; cancer screening; breastfeeding; alcohol and binge drinking; youth risk prevention; business growth and export; road safety; teacher recruitment; etc.
Think high-profile work for Public Health England, Department for Transport, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Sport England, and others. We mix traditional methods with cutting edge innovation to provide bespoke solutions for our clients. Our work frequently wins industry and Government awards.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will need to be confident in managing (with support, as appropriate) large-scale campaign evaluations, in handling multiple demands and working to tight deadlines, and in working with client and other agency teams to ensure the successful delivery of these programmes. And we want you to lead by example, helping us to continue to grow a fantastic team.
There’s no one ‘right person’ this job – but it’s more likely that you’ll enjoy us and we’ll love you if you:
Have high-level quantitative skills: you know your way around great method and survey design and high-quality delivery
Have some experience in Government social marketing – although we’d also be interested in speaking to you if you’re thinking about transferring knowledge from other sectors to the social arena
Are ambitious – wanting to be great at what you do – and excited by learning curves and being challenged
Have proven project development experience – with a strong and active contribution to shaping and delivering research
Like being with and advising clients – from day to day issues on specific projects to more strategic opportunities to help us grow our accounts
Are willing to get out and talk about what you know – contributing to our profile in the behaviour change community
Care about quality and ‘getting it right’ – leading by example and taking pride in doing great work
Want to find the story in the data – and telling that story to clients in a way which is compelling but doesn’t lose sight of the evidence
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills – preparing deliverables that are engaging, authoritative and insightful
Are interested in behaviour change theory and practice – ideally, with some great experience to back up your interest, but certainly a willingness to further develop expertise
Are interested in innovation and creative thinking
Are a real team player – interested in working with others to do great things, keen to have a laugh and enjoy your colleagues, and eager to learn from others in the team
Thrive on variety – adaptable and positive in the face of change
